Cory brings over 14 years of industry experience to the salon. After working as a stylist and graduating from cosmetology school in California, she moved to Canada and has spent the past seven years working here. She now calls Canada her home. Cory has a deep love of colour corrections, grey blending, transitioning clients back to their natural colour, curly hair, structured haircuts, modern shags, and bridal. Cory is available for in-salon and mobile bridal styling, and has specialty training in Cezanne smoothing treatments. She also regularly invests in advanced education to further her skill set. When not in salon, Cory spends her time with her daughter and two dogs at the beach or riding horses.

Monica Pellow

Monica is an award-winning hair stylist with over 14 years of industry experience. She graduated from the Aveda academy with honours, and her commitment to training and education has given her the opportunity to travel to the prestigious Bumble and Bumble university in Los Angeles. She attends regular education with Wella Colour and is constantly searching out new opportunities for learning. Monica offers in-house and mobile bridal styling services, and in 2016 she won a Vancouver Island Wedding Award for her work. Updos, styling, enhancing natural beauty through colour, grey blending, and advanced cutting techniques including coily and curly textures are where Monica really finds her enjoyment. She is a certified in Cezanne smoothing treatments and Bellami certified in K-tip, I-tip, tape, sew in and beaded weft extensions.

With over a decade of experience, not only is Monica skilled at her craft, she loves everything hair. Having a day filled with so many different opportunities to be creative is one of the reasons Monica loves being a stylist.

Kristi has over 15 years experience including working behind the chair, and being a business owner herself. Kristi is very excited to welcome all to Hunt and Gather Salon. Mandy is an award winning stylist based in Victoria, BC with over 20 years experience. Her editorial and bridal work has been featured in international and national publications, most notably Vogue UK and Vanity Fair UK. She won the Contessa Texture Stylist of the year award for 2022. She has been a Contessa semi-finalist for Canadian Hairstylist of the Year (2024, 2023,, 2021, 2020). Session Stylist of the Year 2024,2023, & 2019). British Columbia Hairstylist of the year (2024), Men’s hairstylist of the year (2024) and Salon Team 2016. She was a finalist for short haircut of the year 2023 for the One Shot hair awards. Bangstyle.com has voted her a supreme 4 times over. Mandy was a regular contributor to Elate Cosmetics beauty campaigns. She has mastered her skills in colouring, cutting (all textures, including curly and coily hair, barbering, razor cutting, and precision cutting), bridal, session and event styling. She is a Bellami certified extensionist in k-tip, sew in, beaded weft, tape and I-tip. She is also certified in Cezanne smoothing treatments.

What started as a job during university turned into a life-long passion for Mandy, who started out behind the chair but soon developed salon management skills. Wanting something different, Mandy started Hunt & Gather with a strong focus on stylist talent and creativity, environmental consciousness, and a supportive and fun environment for all clients.
